Plastic cards have become perhaps the most widespread means of identification on the planet, with many of us carrying several plastic cards all with a variety of features from photo id to magnetic stripes to Smart cards incorporating an RFID chip. In their way they are designed to impart information & allow us to gain access to the very things we are entitled to from membership to loyalty programs to credit facilities.
Plastic cards may be used in dozens of ways & seem to have just as many variations in thickness, size & flexibility as there are uses. Outwardly the plastic cards can appear to be remarkably similiar & may be produced on PVC or a special paper board which is then laminated & they seem virtually identical.
Printing methods range from digital to offset & cards are imprinted with some feature which will make that plastic card unique to an individual even if it is designed for a short period of time. The unique feature may be as simple as a name or serial number, perhaps the card may contain a photo or barcode. Essentially the plastic card may be personalised to create an attractive visual presentation with added variable information which will allow you to individualise each card for your specific application.
